Julius Safaris Review
by Carol Dryden

Very close
Our driver just seemed to know where the animals would be, he never told us what we were about to see, but driving round a corner and parking about 2 metres from a pool with about 50 hippos in it was breathtaking.
Safari Company PerformanceI used JT Safaris aka Julius safaris (enquire about a safari with this company). Top marks for both the company and the driver Lucky, who liked to be called Blackie.
Great value, only 2 of us in the vehicle.Wildlife HighlightsThere are too many highlights to list them all but seeing an elephant so close that I had to put my camera down as it was too close to get in the frame, is something I will never forget!
Seeing so many lions at close quarters will live with me forever, it's an honour to see all the wildlife. It was a stunning experience.AccommodationWe stayed at the Kiliguni, Amboseli Serena and the new Ashnil Aruba lodges, all excellent, the service and standard very high.
Kiliguni will always be my favourite due to the views, its like stepping onto the set of "Out of Africa".Tips and AdviceDon't be afraid to book via a local company, Julius is honest, he didn't need a huge deposit and only wanted payment after he knew all had gone well for us.
I will just do a longer safari next time, the beach hotel seemed very mundane after the great time we had on safari.
I can't wait to go back.Back to Index
