They took us where we wanted and fulfilled all our wishes.

Our main reason to go there was to experience a real African safari. And it was a wonderful experience!!!

South Luangwa: Unspoiled Wildlife Reserve

We stayed for 5 days in a new lodge along the Luangwa River named Thornicroft Lodge. Not so many guests so full attention of the friendly and helpful staff and our safari guide who showed us all we wanted to see!

Lions, 2 leopards, elephants, warthogs, buffalo's, zebra's, giraffe's and many more animals. That is why South Luangwa is famous around the world.

Rating South Luangwa: 10

We could travel budget or mid range. We chose mid range and we did not regret it. In stead of tented camp we had lodges with en suite accommodation.

Thornicroft offered the highest quality of all. The beds and food were great, the best of our trip.

The lodge has a funny swimming pool in the shape of Zambia. A nice place to spend the time between the game drives.

After dinner some of us had a drink at the bar. We sat down on our veranda and experienced the African night and sometimes a hippo and elephants on the site.

Rating Thornicroft lodge: 9
