Canoe Safari Experience on the Zambezi!

We did the 4-day/3-night canoe safari with Riverhorse Safaris and it was hands-down the most unforgettable trip we’ve ever done in Africa.

At first we were a little nervous about being so close to the water, but within the first hour we were paddling past elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and countless birds — all at eye level.

It felt so raw and authentic, completely different from a typical game drive.

Our guide, CB, was absolutely fantastic — knowledgeable, patient, and full of fun stories that kept us laughing around the campfire at night. The camping on the remote river islands was surprisingly comfortable and magical. Falling asleep under the stars with the sounds of the Zambezi around you is something everyone should experience at least once.

What really impressed us was how well-organized and safe everything was while still feeling adventurous. The food was delicious, the equipment solid, and the whole trip felt eco-friendly and respectful of the wilderness.
