Jackpot Safaris and Tours, Tanzania

I recently visited Tanzania with a good friend and my son. It was my dream to see the wild places of Africa, and I had saved for this trip for a long time.
We booked a 5 day and 4 night Safari with Jackpot Safaris in Arusha. It was the experience of a lifetime. The Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti were the highlights of the trip, although Lake Manyara was also very impressive. I would highly recommend that you take this trip and see these places. They exceeded our expectations and made for the adventure of a lifetime.
I was planning on renting a vehicle and trying to just do it ourselves. I'm so glad I didn't. It would have actually cost us more, and we would have had a hard time getting food, fuel and paying park fees, not to mention finding our way around and places to spend the night.
Going with Jackpot Safaris was cheaper and stress-free. Our guide "Godson" was top notch and I can't say enough good things about him. Our cook "Banana" prepared food that I could never have matched, especially under the circumstances, cooking on wood fires, etc.
On the first night, I woke up because I thought I had left my bag with Money, passports, camera equipment and laptop in the dining area. I searched around but found nothing. I was panicked. I woke up Godson, our guide. He woke up all the other staff and called the ones that had left the camp back to search. After finding nothing, they came up with a plan to close the camp and check everyone there before they left in the morning. I was devastated that I, a seasoned traveller, could do such a thing and put myself and my son into this worst of situations. As it turned out, I had put the stuff away earlier in my friend's tent, and I was so embarrassed. The help, concern and honesty that the staff showed me was nothing short of amazing, and I'm grateful to them to this day.
We saw all the wildlife we had hoped to and more. We were even lucky enough to see a wildebeest migration in the Serengeti.
The owner, Andrew, went out of his way for us and even supplied us with sleeping bags and stored our excess baggage at the office for the week so we didn't have to take all our stuff along and be overcrowded. They even gave us a ride to the Airport so we wouldn't miss our flight to Zanzibar.
I would recommend these guys to anyone. They are outstanding.
If you are going to Tanzania, go with Jackpot Safaris. You won't regret it.
