Tanzania Safari Top Three Operators

Choosing a Tanzania safari company to organise your dream African trip can be a frustrating experience because there are so many of them around. But help is at hand...

tanzania safari

By cutting down all the options to the best three in the different rates categories, you improve your chances of choosing a company that will do a great job.

I also (more about me) keep my ear to the ground in travel industry exhibitions, forums, newsletters and travel magazines to find out who the cream of the crop in the African travel business is.

This list is not meant to be an "absolute" classification because there are more than three good operators out there but it will give you an excellent guideline to work from.

The companies are listed below in rates categories in no particular order other than alphabetical. Online and offline Tanzania safari travel journals and reputations built up in the travel industry form the basis for this ranking...

Categories

It wouldn't be fair if you were trying to rank safari companies to lump them all in the same category because they fall into three distinct areas based on the rates they charge for a trip. Low season rates can be about 25% less than high season rates. The rate indications below exclude international and inter-Africa airfares.

Lion track icon Deluxe: Prices range from $650 upwards per person per night spent on safari.

Hoof icon Mid Range: Between $300 and $650 per person per night spent on safari.

Bird track icon Budget (usually camping): From $100 to $300 per person per night spent on safari.
